Archon App: Cloud Video Released!

It's finally here! We've released our Cloud Video feature for the Archon App Videos. This means you can now allocate storage to your guild, and members can set upload rules to automatically upload and share their videos with the guild.

While we work on feature parity between the Archon App and Warcraft Recorder, your subscription can be used with both applications simultaneously and independently. This won't last forever, though!

What is Cloud Video?

Cloud Video refers to uploading videos recorded with the Archon App to the cloud, instead of storing them locally on your computer. This allows you to share the PoVs with your guild or static members, so you can easily navigate through different perspectives in the encounter.

You can also see these uploaded videos on the log sites directly in the new 'Video' tab.

How to Set Up Cloud Video?

The full steps are outlined in the Cloud Video Setup Guide article.

Here's a quick checklist:

1. Subscribe to the Archon Video & Warcraft Recorder Cloud Storage Patreon
2. Allocate Storage to your guilds in the Upload tab (under Video in the App)
3. Set an Upload Rule for your Videos
4. Success!

Note: If you're already a Warcraft Recorder subscriber, you'll automatically also get Archon Video storage to allocate!

How to Use Cloud Video?

There are several new features to explore with Cloud Video. If you've used Warcraft Recorder, you'll be familiar with some of them.

Multiple PoVs

You can see a little icon next to the players with their videos synced to the encounter while playing videos.

You can also use the dropdown to swap between videos.

Browse Tab

The encounters with extra videos can also be seen on the browse tab, and you can click into the Video Manager to see where they're stored.

In the Video Manager, you can see where the videos are stored.

And you can also favorite videos, which prevents them from getting automatically deleted if your Storage Allocation is reduced.

Videos on Logs

If there's a video attached to a log, you'll be able to see the new 'Video' tab on the log report. This is currently only viewable to guild members, though more visibility settings are coming soon.

Clicking the Video tab lets you browse the videos like you would in the Archon App. This view can be maximized on the right and fully customized.

While we're really excited to get Cloud Video in your hands finally, we have a ton of other things on the list too. Our eventual goal is feature parity with Warcraft Recorder, and there's still plenty of things on our list.
