Complete Raid

Complete Raid on Warcraft Logs means doing the full raid in one go. This has a clear starting point and ends when the last boss is killed.

Doing a Complete Raid rewards you with Complete Raid parses. This includes Speed parses for Guilds and Boss Fight DPS parses for personal parses.

Boss Fight DPS

This is the parse for all boss encounter DPS combined, only counting kills. This also requires you to do the full raid in one raid day.

Boss and Trash DPS

This is the DPS parse for all boss + trash encounters combined, counting everything. This requires you to do the full raid in one raid day. Everything (unless explicitly said so above) is included for overall boss/trash, even excluded adds, and downtime is not factored in.

Cooldown Restrictions

Excessive use of Reck (Currently any more than 4 per warrior) will disqualify your run from Complete Raid metrics.

Other

Power Infusion

As PI on Vanilla is a pure dmg% increase, we attribute the damage gained back to the priest.

World Buffs

Items

The items currently banned are:

Excessive Life Taps

Excessively using Life Tap to pad healing parses will invalidate your kill.

Speedrun Requirements

The requirements below are needed to get a Complete Raid ranking for Fresh - Naxx40, which includes Boss Fight, Boss/Trash, and Speed rankings.

A Complete Raid parse requires the full raid to be completed in one run. It is recommended to have multiple people combat logging in case of disconnects, releases, and general bugs.

We will also be moving towards using more general speedrun rules in all raids. You can read about these in the Speedrunning Rules on Warcraft Logs article.

Start and End Point

The Complete Raid (speedrun) starts with the pull of the first trash pack.

The run ends when Kel'Thuzad dies.

You cannot validate your run by killing trash after all bosses are defeated.

Trash requirements are done mostly by the community. Join the Discord to contribute.

Penalties

These are penalties for the Complete Raid metric. This includes Speed, Boss Fight DPS, and Boss/Trash Fight DPS.

Flask Penalty

Using [Distilled Wisdom] is limited to 10 total uses per raid, and [Flask of Petrification] is limited to 5 total uses per raid in Warcraft Logs combat. Using more results in a time penalty of 1 minute per additional flask. Outside of combat, you may use any number of flasks, as this can't be reliably tracked by logs.

The definition of "out of combat" is whether or not WCL thinks you are in combat or not. This may not match the in-game behavior, so plan accordingly. For example, trash fights can get combined on WCL if they happen too close together. Boss fight combats end when the ENCOUNTER_END event fires in the log, etc.

The number of flasks used can be easily adjusted, and we're hoping for more feedback to get to an agreeable number.

Swap Penalty

There is a 1-minute time penalty per character swap.

Time Penalty

Instead of having 'Without Skips' and 'With Skips' categories, we have implemented a time penalty for missed trash mob requirements.

If a raid partly misses the trash requirements, it will face a time penalty, which is 300s / [mob type count] for each missed mob.

Example:

You need to kill 10 bears in a raid, but you only killed 9. That means your complete raid time gets a time penalty of 300s/10 = 30s. If you only killed 8 bears, then 60s get added to the complete raid time, and so on.
