Archon and Warcraft Recorder FAQ

Warcraft Recorder is now part of the Archon family and joins a growing team of partners, including Wipefest, WoWAnalyzer, and Mythic Trap. We’re so excited to have Alex, the creator of Warcraft Recorder, join the Archon engineering team to help build out the Archon App and support us across all our MMOs. What happens to Warcraft Recorder?

Nothing! Warcraft Recorder continues to exist as it always has: Free and open-source. We want to reassure current users of Warcraft Recorder that they can continue to use the app going forward.

Which features from Warcraft Recorder are going to be supported in the Archon App?

We're hoping to add every feature from WCR to the Archon App, with cloud video storage up first. Stay tuned for more updates.

Can I use Archon App’s recording features at the same time as other OBS-based apps (including Warcraft Recorder)?

Yes! We’d love for you to check out the new app and all its features without any risk to your current setup.

What happens to my existing Warcraft Recorder Pro subscription?

Your Pro subscription continues uninterrupted with one significant change…all subscribers now automatically get ad-free experiences across Warcraft Logs, Archon.gg and the Archon App.
