Siege of Orgrimmar on Warcraft Logs
The final raid of Mists of Pandaria Classic, SoO, is releasing this week. This article will go through what that means on Warcraft Logs Classic, our parsing rules plans, and more.

Parsing Rules
These rules aim to deal with the largest outliers in ToT, while still appealing to a wider user base. We're trying to go lighter on rules than previous tiers.
Immerseus
- Removed from ASP.
The Fallen Protectors
- On Heroic: Damage done to Despair Spawn and Desperation Spawn is removed.
Norushen
- Removed from ASP.
Sha of Pride
- Removed from ASP.
Galakras
- Removed from ASP.
Iron Juggernaut
- No rules.
The Dark Shamans
- On Heroic: Damage done to Darkfang, Bloodclaw, and Foul Slimes is removed.
Nazgrim
- No rules, but NOTE: You need to reset Nazgrim to despawn Orgrimmar Faithful to not invalidate via the bringing trash into bosses exploit.
Malkorok
- On Heroic: Damage done to Living Corruption is removed.
Spoils of Pandaria
- Removed from ASP.
Thok the Bloodthirsty
- Damage done to Kor'kron Jailer and Starved Yeti is removed.
Siegecrafter Blackfuse
- No rules.
Paragons of the Klaxxi
- Damage done to any Paragon that heals to full is excluded.
- Amber Scorpion damage is reattributed to an NPC.
- On Heroic: Damage done to Amber Parasites and Blood is removed.
Garrosh Hellscream
- On Heroic: Damage done to Desecrated Weapon, Manifestation of Rage, and Minion of Y'Shaarj is removed.
- Damage done to adds that don't die is removed.
Misc
- Bringing trash into bosses is not allowed. This includes Orgrimmar Faithful on General Nazgrim! This will also apply to speedruns (for technical reasons).
Speedrun Rules
The big trash change for Speedrun rules from ToT is also applying in SoO. Trash is no longer allowed to be pulled into boss encounters. This will invalidate your boss parse and the complete raid (speedrun) parse.
The general speedrun rules for Warcraft Logs (found in this article) also still apply.
Complete Raid
Complete Raid on Warcraft Logs means doing the full raid in one go. This has a clear starting point and end point.
Doing a Complete Raid rewards you with Complete Raid parses. This includes Speed parses for Guilds and Boss Fight DPS parses for personal parses.
Boss Fight DPS
This is the parse for all boss encounter DPS combined, only counting kills. This requires you to do the full raid in one raid day.
Boss and Trash DPS
This is the DPS parse for all boss + trash encounters combined, counting everything. This requires you to do the full raid in one raid day. Everything (unless explicitly said so above) is included for overall boss/trash, even excluded adds, and downtime is not factored in.
Buffs
Unholy Frenzy
Unholy Frenzy is limited to ONLY self-casts.
Any parses that break these restrictions will not be ranked.
Tricks of the Trade
Tricks of the Trade is still attributed to an NPC.
Stormlash Totem
Stormlash damage is also attributed to an NPC.
Skull Banner
Damage gained from Skull Banner is also attributed to an NPC.
FAQ
What does ASP mean?
- ASP stands for All Star Points. It is the right-most column on your character page. Removing something from ASP means it no longer gives points, and the boss no longer contributes to the Best Perf. Avg at the top.
Why can't trash pulled into bosses count for speedruns?
- This is a technical limitation on our end with how Complete Raid (which is what speedruns are ranked as) is setup. It would require some significant refactoring, which is currently not feasible due to limited engineering time. We apologize for the inconvenience.
