Archon App: Cloud Video Setup Guide

This guide will go through how Cloud Video works for the Early Access test for Alchemists (members of our Patreon's Alchemical Society tier). We've spent the last few months working on Cloud Video solutions and how it'll work in the Archon App. We are hoping to have the full release ready soon.

What is Cloud Video?

Cloud Video refers to uploading the Archon App recorded videos to the cloud, instead of storing them locally on your computer. This allows you to share the PoVs with your guild or static members, so you can easily navigate through different perspectives in the encounter.

Setting Up

For this test, you'll need to first fill out the Form (found in the #alchemists channel on Discord) with the relevant information. This will let us flag your account and guild(s) for the test today.

We will then reach out to you with a 3 Month Warcraft Recorder Patreon gift code. Cloud Storage in the Archon App will be acquired with Warcraft Recorder Subscriptions in the future.

Once you've activated the WCR Patreon code, you should be able to allocate storage to your Personal Logs or your guild in the Upload tab under Video in the Archon App.

Make sure to allocate storage to your test guild.

You'll now need to set up an Upload Rule for where videos should be uploaded. This will only apply to future videos. Your fellow guild members will also be able to navigate to this Upload tab and set an upload rule for the guild.

Make sure to set this to the guild you've allocated storage to.
