Sunken Temple Speedrun Rules

The below requirements are needed to get a Complete Raid ranking for Sunken Temple, which includes Boss Fight, Boss/Trash, and Speed rankings.

A Complete Raid parse requires the full raid done in one run. It is recommended to have multiple people combat logging in case of disconnects, releases, and general bugs.

WE ARE REQUIRING VODS THAT START WITH AN INSTANCE RESET FOR TOP 10 SPEEDRUNS AT THE END OF THE PARTITION.

Attempts at pre-clearing or trying to circumvent the trash requirements will be disqualified.

Start and End Point

The Complete Raid (speedrun) starts with the pull of the below mob:

  • Atal'arion

The run ends when Avatar of Hakkar dies.

You cannot validate your run by killing trash after all bosses are defeated.

Trash Requirements

Trash requirements are done mostly by the community. Join the Discord to contribute.

  • 8 Atal'ai Witch Doctor (ID 224263) / Unliving Atal'ai (ID 224262)
  • 5 Saturated Ooze (ID 224242)
  • 17 Atal'ai Corpse Eater (ID 224260)
  • 34 Atal'ai Deathwalker (ID 224259)
  • 15 Atal'ai High Priest (ID 224258)
  • 29 Nightmare Scalebane (ID 224255) / Nightmare Wanderer (ID 224253) / Nightmare Wyrmkin (ID 224254)
  • 4 Atal'ai Warrior (ID 224250)
  • 4 Hakkari Frostwing (ID 5291)
  • 4 Hakkari Sapper (ID 8336)

Video Requirements

If you end the phase with a top 10 world rank, you are required to provide a full vod that starts with the instance being reset. The speedrun timer will still start on the pull of Atal'arion, but a vod of the setup is required. This should be attached to the leaderboard entry so it can be reviewed by the community.

Attempts at pre-clearing or trying to circumvent the requirements will be disqualified.

Preclearing Rule

Pre-clearing is not allowed. We reserve the right to disqualify, blacklist, or ban any attempts at circumventing the intention of trash requirements.

Boss Rules

Ensure you have also read the Sunken Temple Parsing Rules for an overview of what is and isn't allowed. If a fight is invalidated due to parsing rules, that also invalidates Complete Raids (e.g. Speedruns).

Penalties

Swap Penalty

There is a 1-minute time penalty per character swap.

Time Penalty

Instead of having 'Without Skips' and 'With Skips' categories, we have implemented a time penalty for missed trash mob requirements.

If a raid partly misses the trash requirements it will face a time penalty, which is 300s / [mob type count] for each missed mob.

Example:

You need to kill 10 bears in a raid, but you only killed 9. That means your complete raid time gets a time penalty of 300s/10 = 30s. If you only killed 8 bears then 60s get added to the complete raid time and so on.
