Archon Rotations: Openers, Cooldowns, and Throughput
Archon.gg is known for data and popularity driven build guides. In the past few months, alongside tweaks and improvements, we have also added new features!
We wanted to take a moment to go over the Archon
Rotation Tab Selections
Before seeing data, you'll need to select some specifics about what you'd like to see. Select a class and specialization. Then, pick the content type and difficulty, and select an encounter.
After your selections, you'll see some shiny new information, starting with Openers and Cooldowns!
Archon Openers and Cooldowns
This feature highlights the opening sequence and cooldown use of several top ranking players! (Healer players will only see Cooldown use, as Openers are often unnecessary).
Openers will display every spell used by the player (and encounter) in the opening window by default. Cooldowns have some manual filtering.
Display Options
Click spell icons at the top left to toggle their display off or on. Many important cooldowns are toggled on by default.
An icon with a number means multiple abilities are packed tightly into that timeframe. Hover to view them spread apart.
Click on the left to view the log where the data originated from.
Use the scroll bar to see more of the Opener timeline.
Full screen the tool using the button at the top right to make viewing easier.
Click show more to see the timelines!
With this tool, you can quickly gather information about how other players have played a fight. Adapt a strategy for yourself and your team with these examples!
Throughput
Use this section to get an idea of the average damage or healing amounts in an encounter, broken down by spell. These charts combine data from several top reports.
There are several charts here with different displays such as total damage, damage to bosses, and damage to adds. Healer players have some other options — total healing, healing to tanks, healing to non-tanks, and damage dealt.
Rankings Samples
You can see the original logs where the data is sampled from using the bottom section of the page. There are some extra filters for dates, durations, and throughput amounts.
